Group Lessons

We’re pleased to offer small group piano lessons for adults and young beginners! All group lessons are taught by Lead Instructor Dr. Veena Kulkarni-Rankin, who will schedule classes according to students’ availability.

Adult Group Lessons –

Beginnining Adult Group Classes open now! Enrollment Sept. 15th-Oct. 15th, 2026. This September, Veena started beginning classes at these two times:

  • Thursdays, 10:00 to 11:00 AM

  • Fridays, 12:30 to 1:30 PM

Adventurous adults are welcome to join this course in progress.  Students attend the same day and time each week, which is $55 per student each time.  Email pianoveena@gmail.com to join.

Veena will schedule a short 20-minute assessment and welcome meeting with you for $36, where she will determine if the class level fits your needs.  Our course text is Adult Piano Adventures All-in-One Course Book 1.

This course in progress is ideal for adults who’ve had some musical experience in the past – school choir, band, orchestra or piano lessons, for example.  You’d be joining us at about Unit 3 of 16 units, so catch-up would be on your own.

Young Beginner Group Lessons – We are not scheduling courses for young beginners at this time, but will offer them in the future based on student interest! Please call 734-975-1995 or email info@faberinstitute.org to learn more and join our waitlist.

Private Lessons

Private piano lessons are the hallmark of the Faber Piano Institute. Highly qualified, enthusiastic instructors guide each student through customized music training.

Instruction at the institute is based on the Piano Adventures® method, developed and written by Nancy and Randall Faber. This successful piano method emphasizes discovery and creativity while building a strong technical foundation for musical expression.

The Piano Adventures® curriculum includes a wide variety of music styles – classical, pop, jazz and folk. In addition, the wide variety of material in the PreTime® to BigTime® Supplemental Library is used to tailor lessons to each student’s interest.
